I am from Kilkenny, a medieval, haunted city in the south of Ireland, which was the inspiration for the town in A Place Called Perfect. I write stories full of adventure because I get bored really easily. I'm also a graphic designer and run an Airbnb treehouse in my back garden - which has at times doubled as a writing room. 

 

My first trilogy is A Place Called Perfect; book one was published in August 2017, and my second trilogy is called The Light Thieves.

 

My books have sold over 330,000 copies in the UK and been translated into 14 languages. They've been Waterstones, Easons, Blackwells and Hoggis Figgus Books of the Month, have won numerous awards, including Crimefest Children's Book of the Year and have been nominated for the Irish Book Awards and the Waterstones Children's Prize. A Place Called Perfect was also optioned for TV.

When I'm not writing, I'm hanging around with Robbie, my husband (who loves climbing mountains), my daughters Jo and Bobbie and our crazy rescue dog Tinky.
